FTP Logins not working

We've been troubleshooting why ftp logins haven't been working for various customers the last couple of days. As we suspected it was related to one of the 'automatic' cpanel updates which handles various system packages, not including the core cpanel/WHM component, which we update manually after testing. As cpanel frequently updates various system packets, almost daily, it's not possible to fully test every update to verify it isn't breaking something.

That all being said, we are hopefully getting close to fixing the issue. In the mean time, you *can* login with username@domain.com vice just 'username'.

For Example:


If your username is 'bob' and your domain name is 'example.com' you would use the following into your FTP program.

username 'bob@example.com'

Cpanel fixed this issue. Everyone should now be able to go back to the old way without using username@domain.com
