Hi,
I see an 'admin' account in the new VDS, and it also lists in /etc/ssh/sshd_config as been allowed ssh-access.
Is this something MyriadNetwork staff would use for resolving tickets, or just an additional account created for convenience?
Regards

The "admin" account is a default for the Direct Admin panel. You can find more information at the Direct Admin website and on their forums, located here:
DirectAdmin User Manual (http://www.site-helper.com)
DirectAdmin Reseller Manual (http://reseller.site-helper.com)
DirectAdmin Admin Manual (http://admin.site-helper.com)

We also have these links listed on the main page of our customer portal, located here:

Got it. I kept on exploring in the meantime and found details about the 'admin' account in the DirectAdmin Reference Guide.
Thanks.
Good deal. Yeah it's just the default, which can be used to log into https://x.x.x.x:2222, where the "x.x.x.x." is the primary IP address of your VDS. That will take you to the DirectAdmin interface, where you can log in with the username "admin" and the admin password. If you need to change the admin password, you can do so by issuing the "passwd admin" command in the shell as root on your VDS.
Direct Admin has those 3 account levels listed in the previously posted links - users, resellers, and admins, with each having more control than the previous. "admin" is just the default for that privilege level. It sounds like you've already found all the information you need, just thought I'd put this information out there if it helps.
