I was wondering if it would be possible (or at least practical) to replace the default CentOS on the VDS's with the latest Ubuntu, or another Debian based, distro.

Hi Matt,

At this time the only template we are using from SWSoft is the CentOS template.

I'll look into it and pass the request along. It really depends on what templates are offered by SWSoft. I don't believe SWSoft actually offers an Ubuntu template. I'll let you know what I find out about the availability of templates and what, if possible, we will be supporting in the future.

Hi Matt,

Ubuntu isn't an SWsoft supported template, and as far as Debian goes, we've always stuck with RHEL (and now CentOS - same thing as RHEL really) because it's where our expertise lies.

On that note, if you haven't seen this month's contest thread (http://forum.myriadnetwork.com/showthread.php?t=251) yet, you may want to have a look :)

Just thought I'd mention this as well:

Note that cPanel on top of Debian is only in beta at this time.
