Hey, guys.

I just purchased a new VDS. I want to start transferring some of my websites from 1and1 to the VDS. I have a domain registered through 1and1 (openwinedatabase.org). What nameservers should I give 1and1 to have it point to my box at http://208.67.81.4/.

Note: I'm pretty sure I have the virtual hosts setup correctly in my Apache config file.

Thanks in advance, and let me know if any further information is required to answer this.

Hi,

Please see the following from our VDS section of our Knowledge Base ( http://my.myriadnetwork.com )

How do I setup domain name servers?

Basically, you need to register your nameservers first if you have not already done so. After registering your nameservers at the registrar, you simply need to point them to any 2 IP addresses on your VDS. The reason why any 2 IP addresses works is because named (the DNS service that runs on each VDS) listens on all interfaces. As such, any IP address on your VDS will respond with the correct information for your domains.

Also, just FYI, the forums are meant more for presales / customer chat / howto type things, and aren't the best means for us to provide support. For support you will want to use our helpdesk, which can be contacted via the methods listed in your Welcome email:

1. support at myriadnetwork dot com, or
2. via our online portal, at http://my.myriadnetwork.com

If you have any questions, please feel free to let us know on the desk. Thanks!
