Hi folks,
We just received the following email from our primary datacenter Equinix:
Standard Maintenance in DC3 IBX
Dear Equinix Customer,
This notification is to inform you that Equinix will be conducting
regularly scheduled maintenance at the DC3 IBX, located at 44470 Chilum
Place, Ashburn, VA 20147. This maintenance is designed to be transparent
to your operations.
* The maintenance is scheduled to take place Monday, May 14
through Friday, May 18, 2007, from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m, IBX Local
Time.
* Description of work: Equinix site engineers and equipment
contractors will be performing a scheduled annual maintenance on the
uninterruptible power supplies. All customer loads will remain
supported by alternate UPS systems during this work.
* During this period, Equinix engineers will work closely, on-site
with equipment system vendors and service providers to assure that the
maintenance is non-intrusive.
* This activity is fully scripted.
* During this period, all services (Smart Hands, installations,
work visits, etc.) will continue in accordance with our normal
procedures.
The Response Center is available to provide up-to-date status
information or additional details, should you have any questions
regarding the scheduled maintenance. Please reference SR # 812749.

This maintenance should be transparent, meaning that no downtime is expected. However, it is important that everyone is aware of this maintenance in the unlikely event of an unforseen issue.
