We found several out of control scripts running on web5 a few minutes ago that contributed to an extremely high load on the server. The processes were killed the scripts disabled, and the customer has been notified not to run them again until they are fixed.

We just stopped and restarted mysql and httpd (Apache) to clear out a bunch of processes from the customers script.

Everything should be back to normal at this point.

Thanks,

Tom

We noticed another issue with this server in the last couple of minutes. We are upgrading to the latest kernel from redhat and are going to reboot the server in the next few minutes. Total downtime will be about 5 minutes.

The server is being rebooted right now. I will update everyone once it's back up.

Hi,

Server is back online and serving webpages / email etc. You may have issues logging into cpanel while we troubleshoot a drive space issue.
